A leading Premiership rugby team is working hard on enhancing its training regimes in the closed season thanks to a delivery from Versaclimber UK. The London Wasps Rugby Club are proud new owners of a Versaclimber and Versapulley exercise machine at its training ground in Acton and is already incorporating them into general fitness and rehabilitation training sessions. The unique stepping and climbing actions of the Versaclimber simulate climbing, giving an overall body workout and improving body toning and fitness while the distinctive weightless design of the Versapulley makes it a versatile and challenging machine. Paul Cater, senior fitness coach and rehabilitation conditioner of London Wasps Rugby Club said “The Versaclimber and Versapulley are such versatile pieces of equipment to use. “The Versaclimber is an excellent tool for general fitness conditioning for our players and the Versapulley is invaluable during my training sessions. They have both been valuable additions to our fitness programme and the players have definitely seen a difference from training on them.” London Wasps isn’t the only Premiership rugby club gaining from the unique Versaclimber machine. London Irish and Leicester Tigers rugby clubs have also recently taken delivery of Versaclimber machines. Neil Kelford, managing director of Versaclimber UK said: “It’s fantastic to see such leading sportspeople recognising the benefits Versaclimber can add to their fitness regimes. It can be used in a number of different disciplines from rehabilitation and sports injury recovering to general fitness and sport-specific training.” London Wasps has won at least one major European competition or knock out tournament each year over the last decade, with its home games being played at Adams Park, High Wycombe. The Versaclimber is available in three different models – the Club, Sport and Sportsmedical – and is favoured by leading healthclubs, the armed forces and key health and fitness instructors across the UK. The Versapulley offers a versatile workout, limited only by the user’s imagination. The harder the rope is pulled, the harder the machine pulls it back when the rope retracts, working additional muscle groups and making workouts twice as efficient. |
