The Royal Marines are renowned for having one of the toughest training regimes in the military outside of the SAS. So to find out just how tough it is, Versaclimber’s managing director Neil Kelford spent the day at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre (CTCRM), along with Glen from our aptly-named PR agency Tank PR, and serial Marines fundraiser and award-winning Nottingham Indian restaurateur Arfan Razak, better known as Raz.
All British armed forces use Versaclimber products, and Neil wanted to find out how they used them. Unbeknown to him, he was about to find out just how fit Marines have to be. We also wanted to test the water for a possible Marines Versaclimber challenge. Raz has already raised several thousand pounds for Marines charities, and is currently using a Versaclimber to train for his next escapade: The Dunker – a helicopter crash simulator.

Fitness company Versaclimber UK has unveiled its new look website, designed to further cement its position as one of the country’s leading providers of exercise equipment.
The website of the Stourbridge-based business has been divided into user-based categories, including Home Gym, Rehabilitation and Personal Trainer, to help individuals find the right product to meet their own needs.
“We wanted the new website to be completely customer focused,” commented Neil Kelford, managing director of Versaclimber UK. “Our client base ranges from the amateur fitness enthusiast to world-class athletes, with different pieces of equipment suited to each.
“The Home Gym category, for instance, focuses on a selection of cost-effective items that offer an intensive home workout programme, without the need for gym membership, while the Rehabilitation section is designed to meet the needs of physiotherapists and sports doctors.
“The re-design is about showcasing our products in a different way and presenting our customers with a range of varying fitness options.”
The new user-friendly website also features the latest company news, as well as links to Versaclimber UK’s social media feeds, including its own dedicated YouTube channel.
The company’s extensive product range features the popular Versaclimber Sport climbing machine and the Versapulley weightless exercise machine, which uses an entirely user-defined force to provide a versatile strength and conditioning workout. Other items include the Versaclimber Sportsmedical, offering the ability to isolate muscle groups and accommodate the most common of sporting injuries.
